Boys begin state title quest at Rock Hollow

The state ranked Miller boys’ golf team began their quest to again return to the state finals this weekend with an 11th place finish in the Hall ofFame Tournament at Rock Hollow Golf Course in Peru, Indiana on Saturday April 11. The boys shot 331, counting the four best 18-hole rounds from the five-man varsity roster that traveled to Peru, and their total was just 12 strokes off of the lead at the end of the tournament. Varsity squad suffers first dual meet loss of season

The Miller boys’ golf varsity team suffered another devastating loss Wednesday evening to begin their season 0-2. The varsity top five lost by 9 shots to the Pendleton Arabians, 149-158, in the Millers’ first dual match of the season. Junior Charlie Castino shot the lowest round of the evening for the Millers, posting a 37. Freshman Spencer King shot 39, followed by sophomore Vince Drahman and senior Evan Steger who shot 40 and 42, respectively. Mill Stream: Why did you join the improv team? Taryn Parker: I joined last year off a whim and was put back on the team this year. MS: What do you enjoy the most about the team? The Improv team, X-etra, performed March 20 in front of a crowd of students and community members in their third show of the year. Skits ranging from “Columns” to “Dr. Know-It-All” entertained the audience for a great Friday evening of improv.
