From the iPods, Mac notebook computers, iPhones, and now to the iPad, Apple keeps on creating revolutionary technology since the 1970s. According to www.apple.com, the iPad will soon be released April 3 at an unbelievable starting price of $499. Although it will released in stores April 3, anyone will be able to pre-order the product Mar 12 at the Apple Online Store or to reserve pickup at any Apple Retail Store.

According to the apple store, the 9.7 inch LED-backlit, multi-touch screen on the iPad is based on the same technology used on the iPhone. However, the technology has been reengineered for a larger surface. Though the iPad is larger, it is still thin and light, only weighing 1.5 pounds and .5 inches thick.

Many unique features are included into the creation of the iPad. First Apple incorporated a 10-hour battery life, using polymer battery technology, which was first developed from the Mac notebook computers and is now applied to the iPad.

Safari, or Internet, will be available on the iPad, enabling anyone to view web pages one at a time. With no buttons, only the flick of a finger is needed to scroll, zoom, and tap to view the web, along with videos, photos, and games.

With over 150,000 apps from the App Store, anything from games to business apps can be downloaded onto the iPad. The newest app created, iBookstore, will allow anyone to download a book from the store and then read it after its downloaded onto the iPad. More apps such as maps, notes, a calendar, and a contact book will be available.

Moreover in a recently released article on www.apple.com, Apple’s CEO Steve jobs said, “iPad is something completely new. We’re excited for customers to get their hands on this magical and revolutionary product and connect with their apps and content in a more intimate, intuitive and fun way than ever before.”

“If other students think they want to be a teacher, then this class can show you if you actually want it or not,” Simcox said, “You may think it is fun in teaching elementary school kids, but you would be surprised at how much work there really is.”

Instead of reading from a book or getting lectures from teachers, the Cadet Teaching course allows students to shadow teachers and understand what it really takes to be a teacher. The class is every day during blocks three and four, which let students create relationships with the teacher and students. Because of this and the unique class setting, it just may be the right class that could spark a new future life decision.

These steps are as easy as 1, 2, 3 if a student wants to make the best out of a project for either a science honors class, a scholarship opportunity, or just for fun. The winners at NHS, junior Jake Elkin, and winner at Regionals and State, junior Jonathon Nance, agree these steps will help any student in making a satisfactory science fair project.

1. Start early, in order to have enough time to develop ideas.

2. Be original. The judges will look for creativity and it would be no use if you stole an idea out of a book or off the internet.

3. Do not procrastinate and wait until the very last second! An experiment could go wrong and you could have to start all over again with a new project.

Nobletucky. Our sweet little town nestled between Westfield, Carmel, and other nice lively towns with beautiful old houses and brick roads. This is a dandy town where skinny soccer moms are galore and seen roaming the town square and shopping at boutiques. These moms who, without thought, give their precious children credit cards. This is what I see in Noblesville.

According to www.forbes.com, Noblesville is one of the best places to live in America. Yes, this is true; it is a great place to raise a family and has considerably low crime rates. Bundles of activities are held and parades are everywhere. Altogether it is pretty much rainbows and butterflies. But is this the real world? I think not.

People should travel and meet other people that aren’t exactly like them [rich and white]. Comon’, this is suburbia where parents buy their children nice cars and pretty much baby them through their lives. Have you seen the school’s parking lot? Take a gander at the supposed first crappy car for teenagers.

On the other hand, I know there are many people here who aren’t as well off as others. You are going to find that anywhere. However, what makes me mad is the fact that some people parade around town acting like “gangsters” and claim they live in the bad part of town. Is there anywhere in Noblesville actually considered as the bad side?

Seriously, I think this town has it pretty good. We have four-star schools with top-notch education. Try living in Indianapolis and go to an IPS school. There is actual gang activity and regular fights in that school every day. What about living in the projects in Chicago or New York City?

All I am saying is, get out there and see more of the world or at least the country. This is a very, very, very, [did I say very?], conservative town and state. You will be surprised to see what you find, even just taking a trip to Indianapolis. That may be a little culture shock for yah. There is so much more to learn and discover about all kinds of people who live in this world. Yes, we are comfortable and safe in this bubble we are living in, but that’s not exciting. To become a more well-rounded and worldly person, you are going to have to stick yourself out there.

Take my advice or not, but just don’t think this is all there is.

1. Well, make sure you have the tickets, that would actually get you in the concert. Above all, be prepared. This includes the proper attire and most importantly, comfortable shoes.

2. Always have a buddy system, you never know who you will run in to. It is best to keep a friend close at all times.
3. Don’t bring anything that is important to you. Just leave all belongings at home except for the tickets and some cash to buy a concert t-shirt afterwards.

4. Make sure you drink a lot of water and eat a good hearty meal before. This will keep your energy high for the duration of the concert. You don’t want to be the person who gets carried away on a stretcher after 30 minutes of the concert because you are dehydrated. Then you just wasted a good amount of money.

4. NEVER, ever, ever, sit down quietly and reminisce on how beautiful the music is. Concerts are for singing and dancing, no matter how bad you are at either. I guarantee no one is rating you on how good your voice is. After all they are paying attention to the band.

Audience view of the Slipknot concert on Feb. 3 at the Pepsi Coliseum.

5. Most importantly HAVE FUN. Don’t be afraid to be yourself and bellow your favorite music, throw your hands in the air like you just don’t care, and if at a metal concert, mosh. This is all a part of the concert experience.

Don’t fret! The bagel line is back and has more to add to the cafeteria. The reason for the lack of bagel line is a shortage of staff. The cafeteria workers were sick and unable to do their bagel line duties; therefore, the bagel line was sadly closed for the past month.

However, as of Feb 4, the bagel line is reopened and is now the “grab and go” line. The bagels and cheese are still located in the specialty line.

According to cafeteria worker Cathy Ridings, more items will be added to the grab and go line as time goes on. As of now, to promote their new products, the cafeteria staff has made sample bags that include an assortment of foods. For example, one sample bag contains a bagel with crackers and fruits.

Also, in order to make the line more efficient, a specific entry and exit have been made with a dividing rope. Altogether the grab and go line is a work in progress, there will soon be more foods to choose from.
