Bowling teams head for sectionals

Bowling may not be as widely known as the other natural sports favorites, but the boys’ and girls’ teams are just as serious and successful. Although the sport has a large individual component, the teams are strong, practice together, and support each other. Junior Kendra Stakelbeck, the captain of the girls’ team, is enthusiastic for the upcoming sectional competition. John Lee Hancock's heart-warming Southern sports drama stars Quinton Aaron as Big Mike and Sandra Bullock as his adoptive mother, Leigh Anne Tuohy. Not only did John Lee Hancock’s The Blind Side make me watch the Orioles’ game to see the real Michael Oher at work, but it also made me want to adopt my own 6’ 6” orphan. Matt Cooley: The summer before my sophomore year at a football practice, I was playing quarterback, and after I made a pass, I went to lead block. I jumped over a guy on the ground, and my foot landed in a sprinkler hole on the other side. My weight shifted, and I ended up tearing my ACL, PCL, LCL, MCL, my lateral meniscus, both of my bicep tendons, and my perinial nerve. I have five inches of dead nerve, and permanent foot drop. Whooping Cough Cases Are Kept Private

Trevor Blossom practices good hygiene by coughing into his elbow rather than his hands. Letters have been sent home. Warnings have been made. Whooping cough (pertussis) has made its appearance at NHS. According to Nurse Cindy Hosking, 20 students in the district are being or have been recently treated for pertussis. Not all of these cases, however, have been confirmed by the state. The students have been treated with regard to their symptoms. Pertussis is extremely contagious.
